Move for Charity makes donation to Norwegian Service Dogs (Norske Servicehunder)

Data Respons Solutions is a health aware and health promoting company that encourages and enables exercise and physical activity for all employees whether it be at or outside the workplace.

After 14 years of systematically following up, promoting and encouraging exercise, we decided to up the ante and established Move for Charity, where we exercise for something greater than ourselves and for the benefit of others. For every hour our employees exercise, Data Respons Solutions makes a donation to a charity of their choice.

This year our employees have made a NOK 20 000 donation to Norwegian Service dogs (Norske Servicehunder)

About Norwegian Servicedogs

Norwegian Service Dogs is a small user association, open to anyone who has a publicly approved service dog in Norway.

All those who are assigned a service dog have a physical disability and has various challenges in everyday life. Service dogs are trained to perform several tasks for the person they are matched with, whether it is picking up objects out of reach, opening and closing doors, help change bedding, aid in dressing and undressing, carrying bags or be trained to respond to a seizure.

To the user, a service dog is a unique and indispensable aid that is available 24/7 and can significantly increase the quality of life and independence and can reduce the need for personal assistance. It is NAV (The Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration) that is responsible for educating and allocating Service Dogs in Norway.

Thank you so much for this great gift! Norwegian Service Dogs do not receive any official support and are completely dependent on financial support and gifts from individuals and companies. Everyone involved with Norwegian Service Dogs work voluntarily. Every year we arrange a weekend gathering where we exchange experiences, inspire each other, give tips and advice on how to train for new tasks that the dogs can perform and just be together as we are a small group of users. The gift we have received from you is vital for this type of activity. When the Covid situation calms down, I hope that I, and maybe some users, can come to your offices at Høvik to thank you directly – and show you what our dogs help their users with
